My first trip ever to the Matisse museum in Nice. What a treat. Love this painting: Nymphe dans la forêt. 

Love this Matisse drawing which I found in an old copy of Derrière le Miroir. Matisse: "My line drawing is the direct and most pure translation of my emotion!"

Finally finished the book I've been making for John Rocha. For the cover I photographed Bono's painting of John.

Finally... the opening night. It was a great evening with big thanks to the amazing Joanne O'Riordan who acted as MC and was incredible. Joanne is one of seven people in the world born with Tetra-amelia - in other words, born without limbs. An incredible girl (read more here). I was delighted to have the Rubber Bandits performing 'Black Man' for the grand finale! Sadly we don't have any footage of this but you can see their video here and link to further pictures of the Opening ceremony on Sportsfile here Big thanks to Paul Boland and all the great team in Limerick for making this happen.
